Information for Authors

  • Peer Review Process: JAMELSS utilizes a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure objective evaluation.

  • Plagiarism Screening: All submissions are screened using industry-standard software (e.g., Turnitin/Crossref). Plagiarism, including text recycling (self-plagiarism) and uncredited paraphrasing, will result in summary rejection and a potential ban on future submissions.

  • Formatting: Submit in MS Word. Use SI units, format variables in italics, and write math equations as editable text (denote powers of $e$ as $\exp$).

  • Ethics & Reporting: Human-participant research must follow the Declaration of Helsinki, include an ethics committee approval number, and secure informed consent. Follow SAGER guidelines (sex/gender data) and COREQ standards.

  • AI Policy: LLMs (like ChatGPT) cannot be listed as authors. AI use in research must be disclosed in the Methods section. AI-generated images/videos are prohibited.

Information for Reviewers & Literature Integrity

  • AI Restriction: Reviewers must not upload manuscripts into generative AI tools to protect intellectual property and confidentiality.

  • Integrity Monitoring: Reviewers should watch for citation manipulation and can request unprocessed data files to verify image integrity.

  • Corrections & Retractions: Academic record integrity is strictly maintained. Minor errors are handled via a formal Corrigendum/Erratum, while fundamental errors or ethical breaches will result in a retraction following COPE guidelines.

  • Zero Tolerance: Hostile behavior, harassment, or discrimination against journal staff by authors, reviewers, or readers will not be tolerated.
